The pre-authorization IS NOT A CHARGE<\/b>, but a temporary hold to verify the validity and funds of the card<\/b> used for booking. If you choose the \u201cFree cancellation\u201d rate, the amount of the first night is blocked; conditions vary according to the selected offer<\/b>. The Hotel can perform this check at any time (for prepaid cards, please check your balance). If the pre-authorization is denied, you will have 24 hours to provide a new card, otherwise the booking will be automatically cancelled. At check-out you can pay as you prefer: with cash, debit card, or another card the Hotel will CANCEL the hold (funds return available in 48-72 hours); alternatively, you can request the CLOSURE of the pre-authorization to charge the amount directly to the booking card, but only if you are the cardholder and present it physically at reception. Watch out for bank SMS alerts: they often notify pre-authorizations with the same text as a real purchase, but it is just a temporary hold that appears in the statement as a \"pre-authorized transaction\" or \"pending\".<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n
