For those traveling on the A4 Turin-Trieste highway
The recommended exit is Padova Ovest, whether coming from Milan or Venice; from there, continue on the West Beltway (Corso Australia) until the Abano exit. Then take the provincial road from Padua to Abano; after 4 km, you’ll arrive at the spa town.
For those arriving from the A13 highway (Bologna-Padua)
The recommended exit is Terme Euganee. From there, take the SS Adriatica toward Padua; after about 3 km, turn right toward Montegrotto-Torreglia and follow the signs for Abano Terme.
By train
The nearest train station is Terme Euganee (5 km), on the Bologna–Venice line; all major trains stop there.
Padua Station, on the Milan–Venice line, is convenient, even though it’s farther away (about 12 km); all trains stop there.
Buses on lines A, M, T, and AT depart every 15 minutes from the station plaza, bound for Abano (travel time: 30–40 minutes). Both stations offer taxi service.
By plane
The nearest airport is Venice (60 km), which is served by major domestic and international airlines. From there, you can reach Abano by taxi.
The international airports in Treviso (70 km) and Verona (80 km) are also fairly close and easy to reach.
